I let others know that I know with a, "Hey guys, I'm completely screwing up and am off tonight. I'm really sorry." If I keep messing up, I excuse myself and make sure they're still going to be Ok to move forward. If I'm playing, it's to have fun. If I'm not having fun or I'm making it difficult for someone else to have fun because I'm just not getting it together, then it's time to take a break, do something else, or whatever to break the cycle.
