After a certain point in time, much of the information within them is out of date and can be misleading to those looking for information if they come across one that has been necroed. It's a good idea to take into account how old the thread is, whether or not it has out of date information, and whether or not it's a useful thread before posting in it. While we want you to search for already existing topics, we don't necessarily want old threads revived if you can create a fresh new thread. When we ask for you to do a search on topics, it's generally with the idea in mind that a more recent thread may already be in existence rather than you needing to create a new one.
